Jan 2009 [Location of the School]

Karuizawa is located in Nagano Prefecture where 1998 Winter Olympic Games were held. It is the most prestigious vacation areas in Japan and historically home to many Japanese and foreign celebrities. A large piece of land in this dream location is the prospective site for our School Project (For more background of the Project, please refer to the link provided at the bottom of this page).

An ancient Chinese philosopher Mencius said, "the most important elements in success is luck, landscape, and human harmony." Last month I wrote that I feel a strong momentum and a destiny in this project - i.e., luck. Seeing this beautiful site made me think that we might be able to have the second element, too!

Mencius also says the most critical element is the third, "human harmony". Not to mention the current project team, but also the people of Karuizawa, businessmen and politicians who are deeply concerned with Asia's future, dedicated faculty, and above all, students and their parents who believe in our school's mission -- our harmony is the power that pushes this project forward.
