Taxation structure that is favorable to the rich, uncountable votes of the poor getting bought at every election, and many of the middle class losing hope and wanting to emigrate... What I saw in the Philippines challenged my long belief that, through educating the poor, I can contribute to healthier democracy and alleviation of poverty.

Educating the unpriviledged is extremely important. But in tackling the social disparity, leaders of the society also play a crucial role: Politicians who can make decisions regardless of their personal interests, business leaders with strong understanding of corporate social responsibility, and artists who adore their country and appreciate the history while creating the new... It is critical to have those people for sustainable growth of any country - including Japan.

This led me to an idea of establishing a school where we can educate the children to become leaders for Asia's tomorrow. It'll most probably be an international boarding school built somewhere outside Tokyo. I should be able to discuss more in my next update, and I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
